Sotra Rorbusenter rents open boats at 17, 18 (Øyen 530) and 20 feet (Øyen 620 F) with 25–50 hp outboards, a 21–25 foot plastic cabin boat with a 10 hp petrol engine, and a 27-foot diesel cabin boat. The larger boats seat 6–8 people and suit longer trips toward Korsfjorden. All boats have electric start.
Is there a filleting station and freezers on site?
Yes. The dock has filleting tables with a water hose, roof and electric light. Each apartment has a 150-litre freezer, and additional freezer capacity is available on request. Remember the 2026 export quota of 18 kg fish/fish products per person from registered sea-fishing operators.
How do you get to Glesvær on Sotra?
Bergen Airport Flesland (BGO) is about 40 km away with fixed road links via the Sotra bridge. Central Bergen is about 30 km away. A car is the easiest option, but local buses run from Bergen toward southern Sotra with a transfer to Glesvær.
Can I take halibut from Sotra home?
