Run by local fishing guide Kjell Johansen, with two seafront apartments on Platåveien and two new Kværnø 630 HT boats with Yamaha 130 hp engines. Halibut, cod, ling and redfish are the main targets right outside the harbour.

Tips from experienced anglers
- 1The season runs from March to end of September. Skrei (spawning cod) peaks in March-April, halibut is best June through August.
- 2Each boat takes a maximum of 4 anglers -- plan your group size accordingly when booking.
- 3Sørøya is north of 62°N: cod minimum 44 cm outside 4 nm, 55 cm in fjords/inside the baseline, haddock 40 cm. Check the halibut closed season Dec 20-Mar 31.
