Stappan Sjøprodukter sits in the fishing village of Gjesvær on Magerøya in Nordkapp municipality, right beside the vast Gjesværstappan bird cliff and nature reserve and just west of the North Cape. The small, family-run business combines self-catering apartments overlooking the harbour and bird cliff with its own fish-processing facility for freezing and packing your catch, the seasonal seafood restaurant "Terassen" and guided boat trips. The sea off Gjesvær is among the most fish-rich in the world, and the host takes guests out for sea fishing, bird safaris and king-crab safaris from the operator's own floating dock.
